Trudi’s romance quickie: ‘Phantom’s Touch’
"Phantom's Touch" by Julie Leto is a fabulously, steamy love story set in modern times.
In an interesting twist, the lead male character is a phantom from the mid-1700s. Aiden Forsyth is trapped in a sword, a curse placed on him by a Gypsy wizard. All of the sorcerer's dark magic is trapped in the sword with Aiden. The new owner of the sword releases him, but only during night hours. At the break of dawn, he is drawn back into the sword.
Lauren Cole is an actress who has one more movie to make to fulfill a contract, and then she's free from her ex-husband. Just on principle, she retrieves the sword from her ex's house that was legally hers. He claims theft but she knows differently. With the sword in her possession, Aiden is released and turns her world upside down. There are people looking for the sword and the magic it possesses, but there are also those looking for Aiden.
Author Julie Leto is an awesome storyteller. I couldn't put this book down. The erotic scenes are not cheesy and are more about love rather than just sex. She knows how to captivate an audience with the suspenseful spinning of the tale.
"Phantom's Touch" is full of fantasy, magic, intrigue and romance.
