Tuscan Cliffs’ homes feature kitchens that keep gourmets cooking

The Tuscan Cliffs collection of semi-custom homes in Southern Highlands offers thousands of options for residents to create their perfect kitchen -- from granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and kitchen-window views.
"Our standard kitchen designs are extraordinary and can be expanded upon in thousands of different ways," said Michael Goeth, sales agent at the community.
"Each resident has the opportunity to customize his or her kitchen with a commercial-grade range, warming and cooling drawers and an additional dishwasher. Our team of designers envisioned the kitchen as a central feature in Tuscan Cliffs homes and has created options for both the recreational and professional chef."
Standard kitchens at Tuscan Cliffs include 42-inch, handcrafted maple cabinetry, granite kitchen countertops and islands, Viking stainless steel appliances, Kohler cast-iron sinks with pull-out faucets and walk-in pantries.
Each kitchen is designed to comply with Pacific Southwest Development's philosophy of indoor-outdoor living by offering views to the outdoors and interior courtyards, as well as areas to facilitate outdoor entertaining like pools and outdoor kitchens.
"One of my favorite kitchens at Tuscan Cliffs is in the Villa de Giovanni model home," Goeth said. "It has a large nook that overlooks a front courtyard. This courtyard can be designed with water or fire features, creating a beautiful view during the day or night. This model's kitchen has direct access to a covered porch off another side that is perfect for quiet contemplation and relaxation. And it is open to view the foyer, dining room and great room, which makes it ideal for entertaining."
The Villa de Giovanni is a 4,328-square-foot home with four bedrooms, 31/2 baths, a first-floor master suite and separate retreat, library and three-car tandem garage.
The Villa de Giovanni can be architecturally designed up to 6,000 square feet with options including a one or two-story courtyard casita, four-car garage, sun terrace, wine storage space, second-floor master suite or game room.
According to Goeth, non-chefs have found the gourmet kitchens at Tuscan Cliffs are designed to suit a variety of lifestyles.
Goeth said the high quality and appliances are easy to use and every kitchen is designed for convenience.
"Kitchens are the room that nearly everyone gravitates to in a home," he said. "We have made them easy to use and entertain in, whether you are having a few friends over for dinner or hosting the company holiday party," Goeth said.
Tuscan Cliffs features four model homes that offer more than 50 base configurations ranging from 4,328 to 5,441 square feet.
Homes may measure as large as 6,000 square feet with options.
Each offers an extensive rear patio, central courtyard and common areas.
All of Tuscan Cliffs' home sites measure at least one-quarter acre.
Premium lots, including some with views of the valley and others that are oversized, are available.
State-of-the-art theatre systems are among the many options available. Additional design options include elevators, wine cellars and grottos, custom ceiling treatments, swimming pools, outdoor fireplaces and water features.
Each residence also qualifies as an Energy Star home, which can save owners heating and cooling expenses while providing quieter, more environmentally friendly homes, according to the builder.
Base prices start at just over $1 million.
New residents will receive a one-year social membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval, Goeth said.
The club includes a social calendar, spa, resort-style swimming pool and other facilities.
To visit, take Interstate 15 to the St. Rose Parkway exit and go west. Drive north on Southern Highlands Parkway and proceed to Stonewater Lane, then turn left and follow the signs. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Monday, when it opens at 1 p.m. For more information on home designs and pricing, call the sales office at 228-8559.
