Tuscan Cliffs offers semi-custom homes with residential elevators
May 25, 2008 - 9:00 pm
Residents at Tuscan Cliffs, a luxury semi-custom home community in Southern Highlands, offer elevators.
"Elevators are one of many details we considered when designing the ultimate luxury experience at Tuscan Cliffs," said sales agent Michael Goeth. "They are one of life's little luxuries that were previously only available in commercial environments or elaborate mansions. Now that they are a possibility in luxury residences, we took full advantage to offer them at Tuscan Cliffs."
Elevators are offered as options in three of Tuscan Cliffs' four base floor plans, with an elevator shown in the Villa de Rafael model home. Elevators are also available with the Villa de Gabriella and Villa de Franchesca floor plans.
"Residential elevators serve many purposes," he said. "Primarily, they give access to guests and residents who may not be able to climb stairs. Many home buyers take stairs into serious consideration and whether they are necessary for access to rooms on the second level like the master bedroom, guest rooms or casita."
In addition to moving people, Goeth said he has found Tuscan Cliffs homeowners are interested in elevators for everyday conveniences like moving heavy items between floors. "In luxury homes like ours, furniture, artwork, business files and other heavy items are being moved more often," he said. "Elevators reduce the possibility of damage to both the items and the walls when they are moved quickly and easily in an elevator."
Ranging in size from 4,328 to 6,001 square feet, the homes provide the ability to design a custom home without the traditional inconveniences and time delays associated with custom home building, Goeth said.
More than 50 configurations are available among the four base models. Each offers a master suite with a separate retreat, an extensive rear patio, central courtyard and common areas.
All of Tuscan Cliffs' home sites measure at least one-quarter acre. Premium lots, including some with views of the valley and others that are oversized, are available.
Standard amenities include paverstone driveways, sand-finished stucco exteriors, stainless-steel appliances, exterior stone veneer, 42-inch maple cabinets, granite countertops, 6-foot garden tubs, wood-clad Andersen windows and Kohler plumbing fixtures.
Pacific Southwest also added stainless-steel Viking appliances, wrought-iron stair railings, and granite counters and vanities as standard features throughout each home.
All homes include outdoor kitchens and disappearing glass doors, which allow residents to link internal and external areas seamlessly, Goeth said.
In addition, each residence qualifies as an Energy Star home, saving owners on their heating and cooling expenses, while providing quieter, more environmentally friendly homes, Goeth said.
Base prices at Tuscan Cliffs start at a little over $1 million.
Residents will receive a one-year social membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval, Goeth said.
The club includes a social calendar, spa, resort-style swimming pool and other facilities.
To visit, take Interstate 15 to the St. Rose Parkway exit and go west. Drive north on Southern Highlands Parkway and proceed to Stonewater Lane, then turn left and follow the signs.
Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Monday when it opens at 1 p.m. The sales office phone number is 228-8559.
