Tuscan Cliffs’ semi-custom homes offer options in variety of floor plans

From a decorated wine grotto to a resort-style master bath, Tuscan Cliffs' Villa de Rafael model offers design options.

"Each of the base models at Tuscan Cliffs offers different options for utilizing space," said Tuscan Cliffs sales agent Michael Goeth. "In the Villa de Rafael, one of our most popular rooms is the wine grotto located in the first-floor casita."

This model's casita can also be used as an additional garage or guest room.

"It is a perfect space to showcase one's wine collection, with storage space as well as room for guest seating and tastings," Goeth said. "It opens up to a beautiful front courtyard that can also be used to enjoy a nice bottle of wine."

The Villa de Rafael can be architecturally designed from 4,775 to 5,605 square feet. This four-bedroom, three-bath estate includes a kitchen with butler's pantry, master suite with separate retreat, bonus room and three-car tandem garage.

Each home site is between one-quarter and one-half acre.

"The homes at Tuscan Cliffs are designed in the spirit of Pacific Southwest Development's indoor/outdoor living philosophy," Goeth said. "They all include courtyards, covered rear patios, outdoor kitchens and enough space for a pool and spa. These elements really contribute to the overall seclusion and resort-like atmosphere of the homes."

Keeping with resort-style design, the Villa de Rafael includes a master bath with large framed mirrors, a river bath and vertical spa.

"Each master bath at Tuscan Cliffs is offered with standard vanities, granite countertops and his-and-her closets," Goeth said. "In the Villa de Rafael, we take that one step further with a Kohler brand river bath that has a sheer descent waterfall and measures a full 75 inches."

This master bath also features a Kohler vertical spa in the shower. The vertical spa combines a rain shower effect with multiple shower heads positioned vertically on the walls.

The Villa de Rafael allows its residents to ride in style, and showcases an elevator option in the model home.

According to Goeth, elevators have become more popular in luxury homes over the past five years, as the technology has improved and pricing has become more reasonable for single homes. Elevators also are available with the Villa de Gabriella and Villa de Franchesca floor plans.

"Luxury elements like the wine grotto, master bath accoutrements and elevator make the Villa de Rafael model home worth seeing," Goeth said. "With sweeping views of the city and mountains, a private gated neighborhood and unique modern designs, Tuscan Cliffs is truly developing the New Millennium Custom Home."

More than 50 configurations are available among the four model homes at Tuscan Cliffs. Each offers an extensive rear patio, central courtyard and common areas.

They range from 4,328 to 5,441 square feet in their base configurations and may measure as large as 6,000 square feet with options.

Standard amenities include paverstone driveways, sand-finished stucco exteriors, stainless-steel appliances, exterior stone veneer, 42-inch maple cabinets, granite countertops, 6-foot garden tubs, wood-clad Andersen windows and Kohler plumbing fixtures.

Other options include structured wiring systems and media networks and swimming pools. The builder also added stainless-steel Viking appliances, wrought-iron stair railings and granite countertops.

Each residence qualifies as an Energy Star home, saving owners on their heating and cooling expenses while providing quieter, more environmentally friendly homes, Goeth said.

Base prices in the community start at just over $1 million.

Residents will receive a one-year social membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval, Goeth said. The club includes a social calendar, spa and resort-style swimming pool.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the St. Rose Parkway exit and go west. Drive north on Southern Highlands Parkway and proceed to Stonewater Lane, then turn left and follow the signs.

The sales office is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Monday when it opens at 1 p.m. For more information, call 228-8559.
