TV PRESS TOUR: “Spamalot” star joins “MADtv”

  That didn’t take long.
Within hours after “Monty Python’s Spamalot” closed at Wynn Las Vegas, the show’s Lady of the Lake already has landed on her feet.
Erica Ash, who took over the role from Nikki Crawford earlier this year, has joined the cast of Fox’s “MADtv,” the network announced this morning as part of the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills.
Ash, who also could be seen in the LOGO cable series “The Big Gay Sketch Show,” is part of an influx of new performers for the Fox show’s 14th season. Lauren Pritchard, who studied improv under the tutelage of The Venetian performer Wayne Brady, is another of the four new hires that join six returning regulars.
