UNLV officials still hoping for sellout

UNLV officials are encouraged by the growing ticket sales for Saturday's 8 p.m. season opener against No. 12 Wisconsin at Sam Boyd Stadium, and still hold out hope for an outside shot at a sellout.
"It's picked up the last couple of days," said D.J. Allen, senior associate athletic director for marketing.
Allen said he expects more than 30,000 at the 36,800-seat stadium, and that a large walk-up would help get the Rebels closer to a sellout. All four of Wisconsin's previous visits were sellouts, but a sluggish economy has affected sales in both markets for this game.
