UNLV’s starting quarterback still a mystery
August 30, 2010 - 9:47 am
UNLV is keeping its fans in suspense for a little longer regarding who will be the starting the quarterback. The announcement won't come until football coach Bobby Hauck's 2 p.m. weekly news conference.
Senior Omar Clayton or junior Mike Clausen will start Saturday's 8 p.m. season opener against Wisconsin at Sam Boyd Stadium.
Clayton, who emerged from spring practices No. 1, has been the favorite to retain the starting job, but Clausen came on strong at the end of training camp.
