UNR player Mike Ball will not play in Saturday’s game due to suspension

UNR running back/kick returner Mike Ball, who went to Desert Pines High School, will serve the second of a two-game suspension in Saturday's 7 p.m. game against UNLV at Sam Boyd Stadium for breaking unspecified team rules. Ball rushed for 184 yards and five touchdowns against the Rebels last season.

"I just told him, 'You are digging a hole for yourself that is getting too deep," Wold Pack coach Chris Ault told the Nevada Appeal. "It's time to dig out.

"Hopefully, this will sink in and he will correct what he's been doing," Ault added. "And if it doesn't, well, like I told him, then he doesn't need to keep playing."
