Unsuspecting crab gets devoured by octopus — VIDEO

It’s the perfect display of nature at work.

The video starts off seemingly innocent, with a woman filming some scenes of nature in Yallingup, Western Australia, according to the description.

In the distance, an innocent little crab can be seen crawling up to the water.

What happens next is unexpected and somewhat terrifying.

As if coming up from the depths of the deep waters, an octopus comes flying out and latches on to the crab.

The clueless crustacean has no idea what’s happening and is unable to retaliate. Struggle, yes. Fight back, no.

After the woman rushes over to film the rest, you can see the octopus calmly go back to the edge of the water and dive in to enjoy its fresh dinner.

The woman’s ending exclamation pretty much sums up the feelings you get from watching. Survival of the fittest, I suppose.
