Utah resident says ‘thanks’ for a great paper

As publisher of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, I get complimentary notes from readers almost daily. Mostly it is to thank us for something a reader particularly liked that day -- a story, an editorial, a picture, or just great daily service.

I rarely pass these letters along publicly. But this one I thought worthy of doing so. There is always great joy for a publisher when a new reader discovers (and likes) the painstaking work that goes into our newspaper every day. This is from Jerry in Cedar City:

"I am a resident of Cedar City, Utah and I purchased a copy of your Sunday paper today so I could read a large comic section, the store having sold out of the Salt Lake City paper. Imagine my pleasant surprise as I read the “Viewpoints” section to find some reading from both sides of the issue without all the whining about George Bush!

"I then proceeded to read the remainder and thoroughly enjoyed it while disagreeing with some of the points contained in various articles, it was stimulating!"

"Thanks for a great paper, I will be back! -- Jerry"

We'll be glad to have you back, Jerry. We have a number of readers in Southern Utah and we welcome you aboard.
