Count the Department of Veterans Affairs as one group whose Vegas is Showing.

On Tuesday Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., released a letter from Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki stating there are no travel policies that prevent VA workers from doing business in Las Vegas.

Shinseki wrote that he was in Las Vegas on business July 21 for the Annual Champions of Veterans Enterprise Awards ceremony.

Lately Reid has been pushing government agencies to clarify their travel policies following news reports stating some were explicitly or implicitly telling employees resort destinations such as Las Vegas were off limits for business travel.
