Vegas club owner to help Reno candidate

A Las Vegas club owner who embraces progressive causes will help a Reno city councilwoman's campaign for lieutenant governor.

N9ne Group co-owner and progressive activist Jenna Morton will host a Jan. 25 fund raiser for Jessica Sferrazza, one of several Democrats seeking to challenge incumbent Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki.

The invitation-only event will help Sferrazza, of Reno, raise her profile among the political class in southern Nevada, which has its own professional and social circles.

It will be at Simon Restaurant and Lounge at Palms Place and the suggested contribution level is $1,000.

Here's an LA Times magazine article about Morton's family, her background and activism.
