Wall Street CEO’s death, Nevada politics mix

The death of a Wall Street investment bank chief executive isn't typically the type of news that would intersect with Nevada politics.

But the death of Bruce Wasserstein of Lazard Ltd. is a special case.

Lazard is the firm that employs John Chachas, a Republican campaigning against Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Here's Chachas' statement on the Wasserstein news: "Nothing has changed in my exploration of a run for the US Senate. Bruce was an immensely talented CEO. But Lazard will persevere and prosper thanks to the leadership by him and others. He will be sorely missed and our prayers are with his family."
