What’s your favorite horror novel?

  I’ve been reading a lot of dramatic fiction and young adult fiction lately, and I’m in dire need of something scary now.
  Author Bentley Little has a new paperback coming out in August, “The Academy,” but I just can’t wait that long.
  I love “Swan Song” by Robert McCammon, “The Stand” and "It" by Stephen King, and “The Association” by Little. I've read a lot of the books by King, Little and Dean Koontz, but I just know there are other books out there that I've missed.
  Anyone have any good recommendations? The gorier the book the better!
