Will Texas lasso a casino project?

In Austin, legislators and lobbyists are meeting today to discuss potential casino development in Texas, a long-shot idea that has gained popularity in part due to the ongoing recession.

In true Texas fashion, politicians are calling for doing nothing in a small way.

And, as if he didn’t have enough on his plate these days, our own casino cowboy Sheldon Adelson of Las Vegas Sands moseyed down to Austin to offer his insight.

He said, "Not all casinos are created equal. Destination resort is the way to go."
