William Lyon’s Tularosa offers single-story residences

Since unlocking the doors to its model homes last month, the Tularosa neighborhood by William Lyon Homes has piqued the interest of hundreds of home shoppers seeking single-story living within the Mountain's Edge master-planned community.

"We've had literally hundreds of home shoppers visit our neighborhood since our grand opening weekend celebration," sales associate Julia Giordani said. "Tularosa has been well-received by home buyers who are looking for both single-story living and the benefits of living within a master-planned community. The neighborhood offers a great combination of single-story homes for buyers who prefer single-story living without stairs, oversized home sites with nice big yards, and the conveniences of living near the amenities of the Mountain's Edge community."

Located in the southwestern valley, the William Lyon Homes neighborhood features four designer-appointed model homes priced from the $160,000s.

"All four of our models are beautifully appointed homes. Each home is highlighted by a great open design and the kitchens are gorgeous with granite countertops, an island and beech wood cabinetry," Giordani said. "They are absolutely wonderfully designed homes that will appeal to today's home buyers looking for a brand-new home for a great price."

She said that the neighborhood's first phase includes some oversized home sites with a few located along a paseo and community trail system and the second phase has just been released.

Two of the models -- the 1,747-square-foot Plan One and the 1,514-square-foot Plan Four -- offer three bedrooms. The 1,976-square-foot Plan Two and the 2,102-square-foot Plan Three feature three bedrooms plus a den. Three models feature a great room while one design is highlighted by a formal living room and dining room, and each includes two baths and a two-car garage.

"In addition to living in a wonderful single-story home, residents will enjoy living near all of the community's amenities, parks, trails and beautiful desert landscaping," Giordani said.

The 3,500-acre master-planned community has set aside more than 500 acres for open space, parks and a trail system.

"Among the impressive amenities of Mountain's Edge is the Mountain's Edge Exploration Park. This is a really unique park that has been created in a Southwest style and is designed around an Old West-themed playground. Plus it has a water splash-and-spray area for children, picnic areas and wonderful trails."

To visit, take the Las Vegas Beltway to Rainbow Boulevard and head south. Turn right on Blue Diamond Road and then left on Buffalo Drive. Proceed south to Erie Avenue, turn left and follow signs to the neighborhood. The models are open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, except Monday when they open at noon.
