Woman sets house on fire to kill spider

There are many people that aren’t big fans of spiders, but a Kansas woman took killing a spider to a whole new level.

The Hutchinson News reports that 34-year-old Ginny M. Griffith used a cigarette lighter to set some towels on fire in order to kill a spider, according to the police report.

There was only light smoke damage to the home and no one was injured, but because the other half of the duplex she lives in was also occupied, Griffith was arrested on a charge of aggravated arson.
