‘Women Are Crazy, Men Are Stupid’ hilarious advice book

  My husband says I’m a little crazy sometimes. Maybe. I think he’s a little stupid sometimes. But, according to the new book “Women Are Crazy, Men Are Stupid: The Simple Truth To A Complicated Relationship” by Howard J. Morris and Jenny Lee, we are not the only couple to think these things about each other.
  And it can all be traced to flowers.
  It’s the flowers that make us women crazy. Yep, that’s my theory. You see, men give us girls flowers when they are wooing us, when they want our affection and our love — that’s when the roses and other lovely floral offerings are abundant. Then when they have caught our hearts and firmly attached them to their little chains, they think, poor darlings, that they don’t need to give us flowers anymore.
  Wrong!
  This is just one of the extremely important topics in the hilarious book. A real-life couple, Morris and Lee are best known for their comedy writing on such televisions shows as “Samantha Who?” and “According To Jim,” but they have honed their writing skills to a higher calling in this book of couple-relationship advice that is side-splittingly funny and often heartbreakingly true.
  Written in a he said/she said format, the authors use their own relationship to examine their realization that modern-day relationships could be so much easier if men would just admit that they are a little stupid when it comes to understanding women, and if women would just realize that men are going to make us crazy no matter how hard they try not to, and we just need to learn how to control the insanity.
  For instance, the flower thing. Most women adore flowers, and receiving flowers from a special guy means a lot to a girl. Lee observes that most of us can trace our flower thing back to high school, when those durn carnations were delivered on Valentine’s Day, and how many carnations you got showed how popular or loved you were, and how “all of us were praying to get at least one, even if it was from our dad.” Flowers to a girl means that a guy likes her, and after all, like Lee explains, “getting a girl flowers isn’t rocket science, is it?”
  Morris wisely keeps Lee supplied with her favorite peonies when they are in season.
  Although downright hilarious, this slender volume actually contains some pretty great advice for couples. When it comes right down to it, Morris explains, “if we can bring men and women just a little bit closer to understanding each other and where each other is really coming from, maybe we can all feel just a little less alone.”
  Lee is a little clearer. 
  ”It takes a crazy woman to deal with a stupid man,” she says. “And it takes a stupid man to put up with a crazy woman, so it might not be as complicated as we think it is.”
