‘You I Never Knew’ full of drama
Susan Wiggs’ “The You I Never Knew” keeps readers spellbound with anticipation. The drama is so real, you start wondering about the people in your own past and whether you’ll ever cross paths with them again.
It is easy for readers to imagine that they are the principal heroine, Michelle Turner, who comes face to face with Sam McPhee, the father of her son, after 17 years of no contact.
Along with caring for her troubled teenage son, Michelle also must prepare for an upcoming kidney donation to her estranged father. Then things really get complicated when the two star-crossed lovers rediscover each other.
With Michelle and Sam denying the possibility of reconciliation, it becomes evident that only with outside interference can these two possibly find the means to follow their hearts.
Wiggs creates her characters in such a way that the reader really can feel what each character is experiencing.
Usually, I can foresee where an author is going with the story line, but this book took me on a few twists and turns that were unexpected.
Wiggs is an exceptional storyteller, and I always enjoy seeing a new book with her name on the front.
