Your conservative talking points for the weekend

As you head into the weekend cocktail circuit, dinner parties and sports gatherings, here are a few conservative talking points for your consideration. Use them well and often.

-- TEA PARTY VS. OWS; The advent of the Occupy Wall Street protests provides an excellent comparison to the Tea Party movement. This George Will piece suggests that the comparisons between the two movements will give conservatives a decidedly upper hand in national races for perhaps the next 20 years. For a brush up on the OWS, take a look at this blog item of mine from earlier in the week.

-- GREEN JOBS BUST: There's a reason President Barack Obama doesn't talk much about "green jobs" anymore. That's because it's recognized that green energy subsidies don't really create jobs in any meaningful way. You can get the lowdown on the green energy jobs bust here.

-- SOLYNDRA IS A BIG DEAL -- The liberal media, in particular the New York Times, is out selling the soap that the Solyndra scandal is really no big deal. Nobody's buying it, not even the NYT's kindred spirits at the Washington Post. WashPo says that it is a "myth" that there's nothing to the Solyndra scandal and adds, "To the contrary, evidence is mounting that this was something irregular about the way the Solyndra deal got greenlighted." You can bet there was. New evidence shows the inside dealing going on between big political "bundlers" and the Obama Administration. Read more here.

-- ERIC HOLDER IN DEEP TROUBLE -- It's sad to say, but there's not an army of reporters chasing the so-called "Fast and Furious" story. This may say something about the current state of journalism. Or it may say something about the liberal bias of most news organizations. Whatever. The point is that "Fast and Furious" may be the Obama Administration's Watergate. In a nutshell, the Obama Crew authorized the selling of semi-automatic firearms to people in Arizona thought to have links to Mexican drug cartels. Attorney General Eric Holder hasn't given Congress much of a good explanation for the operation, nor has he come clean on when he knew what was going on with the operation. Some say Holder may have lied to Congress. Either way, "Fast and Furious" may prove to be the end of Holder as AG. Read more here.

Enjoy your weekend and be sure to tell your friends that they can follow me at Twitter.com. My Twitter name is @shermfrederick.  They can also read my columns here. This Sunday we explore the new bigotry of liberals in America -- anti-Mormonism. Be sure to tune in. It's not the same without you.
