YOUR WEEKEND: Build you own burger and help Three Square food bank
Grind Burger Bar & Lounge, 360 E. Tropicana Ave., will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, Sept. 25, by hosting a food drive to benefit Three Square food bank. In exchange for three canned items, guests will receive a complimentary order of fries.
Grind specializes in serving customizable burgers, made from hand-pressed meats and fresh ingredients. If you aren't a fan of hamburger, the restaurant also has hand-pressed turkey and meatless burger options available, along with chicken breast and other vegetarian options. There are three varieties of buns, premium cheeses and 20 premium toppings and homemade specialty sauces to choose from. The menu also has three styles of potatoes, appetizers (Thai calamari and mozzarella tempura), chopped salads, specialty sandwiches, milkshakes and a variety of beers, wines and classic cocktails. Desserts include vanilla ice cream sliders (housemade pastry shells filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with hot fudge).
Grind will open at 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., and the food drive will run all day Friday.
