YOUR WEEKEND: ‘Company’ to open at Judy Bayley Theatre

The Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV opens its 2009-10 Main Stage Season in the Judy Bayley Theatre with the Tony Award-winning "Company,"  book by George Furth, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, at 8 p.m. on Oct. 2. The production is directed by Broadway’s Michael Lichtefeld and stars Equity performer Anthony Holds as Bobby.

The musical follows Bobby, who is happy and single, until he turns 35 and realizes he is alone.

Additional performances are at 8 p.m. on Oct. 3 and 5 through 10, and at 2 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11. Tickets cost $20 to $30 and are on sale at the UNLV Performing Arts Center Box Office. Special rates are available for groups of 15 or more. Performing Arts Center Box Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday.
