YOUR WEEKEND: Daddy Daughter Dance set for June 13 at community center
The observance of Father’s Day comes one week early at the East Las Vegas Community and Senior Center at 250 N. Eastern Ave. The city-sponsored 6th annual Daddy Daughter and Family Dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on June 13. Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21.
The dance will include contests, prizes and refreshments, and a professional photographer will be on hand to capture memories. The cost is $3 per person, with ages 5 and younger admitted free.
Three Spanish language radio stations will act as co-presenters of the event, which will feature a disc jockey playing songs in both Spanish and English. The participating radio stations are La Nueva 103.5 FM, Recuerdo 99.3 FM and Radio Variedades 870 AM.
