YOUR WEEKEND: Fleming’s plans special Mother’s Day event

When you become a mom, some sort of intuitive mechanism kicks in, screaming that the needs of others must come before your own, and it never seems to shut up. Most moms put their families first without a second thought, and they’re happy to do so. That’s why when Mother’s Day rolls around, it’s nice to remind your mom that you appreciate all she has done for you.

Events such as the Mother’s Day Fashion Show and Luncheon at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, 8721 W. Charleston Blvd., make it easy to pamper your mom on her special day.

The event, set for 11 a.m. Saturday, will feature fashion trends from national brand vendors, and a fashion show with looks stylized by Dillard’s, St. John Knits and Cold Water Creek. The menu will feature roasted turkey crepes, crab cake benedict and a filet mingnon benedict. The three-course prix fixe menu will be available, along with the restaurant’s regular fare, until 3 p.m.
