YOUR WEEKEND: Free baseball clinics to help young players improve their skills

Little League players looking to brush up on their baseball skills will be offered free clinics every hour from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, March 14, at Bat-R-Up, 3040 Simmons St., Suite 101, in North Las Vegas. 

All aspects of the game will be covered, including hitting, bunting, fielding, pitching and catching.

Players will be instructed by Buck Thomas, pro scout for the Los Angeles Angels, and Al Ramirez, pro scout for the Major League Scouting Bureau. Fifty participants is the maximum for each session.
