YOUR WEEKEND: Learn how to kick up Thanksgiving at Vox Wine Lounge

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and this year instead of preparing boring old turkey and stuffing, why not try something new? Vox Wine Lounge's Saturday School will offer a lesson from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 1 in using fall flavors. Learn the secrets to preparing a three-course menu from an executive chef, including roasted pumpkin soup with cinnamon creme fraiche, roasted chicken with wild mushrooms, butternut squash fall risotto and coffee cake with butternut squash filling.

The cost for the Saturday School is $40 and includes instruction and a complimentary lunch. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 407-7780. Vox Wine Lounge is located at 2630 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson.
