YOUR WEEKEND: Nellis Air Force Base to celebrate Aviation Nation 2009

Nellis Air Force Base is set to host Aviation Nation 2009 on Nov. 14 and 15.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the two-day annual open house and air show, with contributions from several military air demonstration teams and civilian air performers. In addition to flight performances, approximately 100 aircraft ranging in age from the earliest days of aviation to some of the nation’s newest military aircraft are scheduled to be on display.

Admission is free. Free parking is provided at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Round-trip bus transportation between parking lots and the event will be provided, as well. Lots open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
