YOUR WEEKEND: Pet blessing planned at Henderson church

Pastor Jim Robinson of the First Henderson United Methodist Church, 609 E. Horizon Drive, invites residents to the church’s annual Pet Celebration, which includes a pet blessing and dedication. The Saturday event is set to start at 9 a.m.

A food drive also is planned to benefit the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Participants are asked to bring a pet food item for the drive.
