YOUR WEEKEND: See Spanish horses at family-oriented show

Witness the Theatre of the Spanish Horse at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29 at the South Point as part of the 2008 National Celebration of the Pure Spanish Horse. Tickets are $17.50. The family-oriented event will combine the North American art with a Mexican flavor.
This “Royal Breed of Kings” was featured in the films "Lord of the Rings," " Hercules," " Kingdom of Heaven" and others. The acts feature Medieval Times Dinner Theatre Head Trainers; Tom Reed, Victor de Lara and Mario Contreras working their magic with six magnificent P.R.E. stallions performing long–lining demonstrations, the renowned, “Pas de Trois” and the ileaps and feats of athleticism known as “Airs Above the Ground.”
Ticket proceeds for the Friday night event will benefitT he Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit entity with programs including horse rescue, youth, education and breed preservation programs.
