YOUR WEEKEND: Shelby Museum to present car show this weekend

Well, no, you can’t drive my car, but you can look at it.

The Shelby Museum at 6755 Speedway Blvd. will be celebrating its recent expansion and renovation this weekend with the Shelby Bash. There are a number of private events being held, but also two major public events. The Shelbys will speed around the track at the Shelby Campus from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and on Saturday, Jan. 10.

A car show will be held on the Shelby Campus from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday, Jan. 11. The show primarily will feature Shelby automobiles and Shelby modified automobiles. The museum will be open for free tours and the Shelby Café will be open, as well. In this reporter's opinion, they make a damn fine burger.
