Located at the corner of South Third Street and Gass Avenue, the three-story building offers eight screens as well as a bar and lounge. The 72,000-square-foot cineplex features extra-padded reclining seats and theaters that accommodate from 30-40 people to 70-80 people. It opened in 2016, more than two years after its first planned opening date. At the time, its executive director of operations told the R-J the company was “absolutely interested” in growing the brand in Las Vegas and around the country.
ToyFest takes place at the South Point Hotel and Casino from March 10-12. The toy trade show, sponsored by the Western Toy and Hobby Representatives Association, includes more than 400 booths featuring a variety of toys and new products. Attendees include toy manufacturers and store owners looking for new merchandise.

Former Steelers’ WR Antonio Brown will be making his way to Oakland after a late-night trade between the two organizations was made public.
Liberty senior Journie Augmon has tremendous basketball instincts — like her father, Stacey, who starred at UNLV from 1987-91 and played 15 years in the NBA. The younger Augmon didn’t grow up playing basketball, though, and was a cheerleader for several years. Her dad never pressured her until playing basketball, and she decided to start on her own in seventh grade. Augmon started for the Patriots last year and helped them reach the Class 4A state championship game. She’s one of the area’s top players this year, and averages an area-best 12.3 rebounds to go with 9.5 points and 2.3 steals.
