Police say a woman was found shot to death after a welfare check
On Sunday night, a woman was identified as 43 year old Shawna McCowan who was fatally shot. Police said that the woman was walking on the 3400 block of Bella Lante ave when someone shot her from inside a vehicle driving by.
Lt Jason Johansson said two boys under the age of 10 were inside an apartment with their parents. He said both boys were taken to the hospital but one of the boys died at the hospital and the other boy suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
