3 women arrested after staged car accidents

Three women have been arrested in connection with staged auto accidents.

Las Vegas police say the staged accidents were used as a ruse to rob people.

Police say the suspects signaled motorists to pull over and told them their vehicle was hit.

One suspect might distract victims while others stole valuables.

Sometimes they would coerce the person into giving them cash as a settlement for the fabricated damage.

Sophia Nicholas, 28, Amanda Miller, 19, and Barbara Miller, 38, were arrested.

Police say they believe at least three others participated in the crimes.
