Vinnie Paul, a heavy-metal icon and drumming force with Pantera and Hellyeah, has died at 54. Paul’s death was first reported by Billboard.com and soon after was announced on Pantera’s Facebook page. Paul died Friday in Las Vegas. No other details of his death were immediately available. Paul co-founded the bands Pantera and, later, Damageplan with his late brother, Dimebag Darrell.
