LVGEA says Nevada needs to grow its middle class

A shrinking middle class poses a threat to Nevada’s economic growth, according to Jonas Peterson, CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. The Pew Research Center classifies middle-class citizens as singles who make between $24,000 and $73,000 or a family of four that makes between $48,000 and $145,000. Lombardo signs Reba’s Law on animal cruelty, rescue

Assembly 381 came from an animal cruelty case that is pending in court. Known as Reba’s Law in honor of an English bulldog that died after being taped into a plastic bin, the bill stiffens animal cruelty penalties and sets guidance for how a bystander can intervene if they see an animal locked in a car during extreme weather.
