Runaway bull finally corralled

It wasn’t a typical chase Wednesday morning involving Las Vegas police. Las Vegas Animal Control as well as a sergeant from the Henderson Police Department joined forces to capture a bull on the loose in central Las Vegas. The bull’s freedom lasted about four hours after being spotted around 3 .a.m. at Turquoise Road and Silver Lake Drive. The bull finally was corralled on Ophir Drive. Metro tracked the bull with a helicopter and patrol units blocked traffic while the bull was tranquilized and finally coaxed into a trailer about 7 a.m. This was not the first time a bull had gotten loose inside city limits. On April 16, 2017, a bull bolted for freedom from his northwest valley corral near Texas Station and was captured while running southbound on Michael Way.
