Ferguson protests

I am going to refrain from commenting on the actual shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, until we have some facts to deal with.

Right now all we know is that 18-year-old Michael Brown is dead at the hands of a police officer. Brown was black. The officer has not been identified.

The shooting aftermath has been ugly with looting and violence. Now the Department of Justice has sent in “protest marshals” to Ferguson to “help train people taking part in demonstrations”.

First, who knew the DoJ had protest marshals. I’ve never heard of them before? Can training protesters really be a full-time federal law-enforcement job?

Second, where the hell were these protest marshals during the Bundy Ranch showdown?

As you may remember, the BLM created “First Amendment pens” far from the Bundy Ranch action and tried to make reporters and protesters get in them. It wasn’t until Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval called the cards of the BLM did the federal agency shut the pens down.

You gotta wonder what if the federal government tried to do in Ferguson what it did in Mesquite, NV.

Do you think the city of Ferguson and the DoJ would get away with that?
