CARSON CITY — Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford came close to weeping today in pleading for his colleagues to restore funding to a library program for disadvantaged youth in his district.
Tipsters calling a police hot line led authorities to the mother of an infant who was found abandoned Wednesday. Las Vegas police arrested Albanisha Jones, 20, about 10 a.m. today on an unrelated warrant on drug charges.
