Mark Twain, despite his many gifts, apparently was never much of a playwright. But David Ives sure is, and he’s managed to take a long-neglected 1898 manuscript and transform it into enjoyable farce.

Suspect shot, killed during home invasion

A suspect was shot and killed by a homeowner during a home invasion near Rancho and Vegas drives tonight.

Las Vegas police said they were called to the home at 1845 Sycamore Trail at 5:24 p.m. They arrived to find the homeowner in the front yard and the suspect inside the home. Neither person’s name was released.
