First inmate sentenced in Arizona prison escape

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A convicted killer sentenced Friday for his escape from a state prison in Golden Valley, Ariz. will soon be transported to New Mexico to face a possible death sentence.

NASA marks 25th anniversary of Challenger accident

Families and NASA officials gathered at an outdoor memorial at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center on Friday morning. Twenty-five years ago, the Challenger exploded shortly after liftoff. The seven astronauts who perished included schoolteacher Christa McAuliffe.
