Berkley strikes bipartisan tone during speech

In a pro-business speech to the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Rep. Six puppies, mother dog abandoned in Ohio suitcase

TOLEDO, Ohio — Investigators say a man who tried to abandon six puppies by zipping them inside a suitcase and leaving it outside an Ohio business was charged after authorities found he’d left the luggage tag with his contact information attached.

Coroner identifies Henderson man who killed wife, himself

A Henderson man and his wife who died in a murder-suicide Tuesday night in their home were identified as Curt M. Jillson and Kai Chen Jillson. The Clark County coroner’s office said Curt Jillson, 51, shot his 61-year-old wife in the head. He then shot himself. The couple’s three dogs also were killed.
