NFL shows no interest in games at proposed UNLV stadium

But the NFL doesn’t appear likely it would stage a Pro Bowl event or sanction a game at the proposed “Mega-Event Center,” as officials for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and their private development partner are calling the proposed 60,000-seat venue.

North Las Vegas-based Bigelow Aerospace lands $17.8 million NASA contract

North Las Vegas-based Bigelow Aerospace has landed a $17.8 million contract with NASA to build, launch and install its Bigelow Expandable Activity Module at the International Space Station. If the module holds up, it might replace today’s aluminum-based space stations for orbital travel and living.

Foreclosure filings, foreclosure inventory down in December

Foreclosure filings in Clark County fell 3 percent from a year ago to 953 in December, and the inventory of homes in some stage of foreclosure dropped to 12,469 at the end of last year, compared with 21,539 at the end of 2011, ForeclosureRadar.com reported Wednesday.

Nevada State Development Corp. refinances $87.2 million in loans

The Nevada State Development Corp. said Tuesday that it refinanced more than 30 small business loans valued at $87.2 million last year, with the help of local banks. The federal refinance program, which ended in September, allowed businesses to refinance loans at interest rates as low as 4.29 percent.
