Ike Nwamu, a 6-foot-5-inch shooting guard, announced Saturday he is transferring from Mercer to play basketball at UNLV. He led the Bears in scoring last season at 15.1 points per game and shot 37.2 percent from 3-point range. As a graduate transfer, Nwamu will be eligible for the 2015-16 season.

Four Rebels, including Davis and Boyko, sign NFL free-agent deals

UNLV wide receiver Devante Davis and offensive lineman Brett Boyko weren’t selected in the NFL Draft, then signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. Also, cornerback Kenneth Penny signed with the Cleveland Browns and defensive end Josh Shirley with the Oakland Raiders.

Mayweather on the money again, remains undefeated

Floyd Mayweather Jr. outboxed Manny Pacquiao and remained undefeated, going to 48-0 with a 12-round unanimous decision Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden. Judges Burt Clements and Glenn Feldman had Mayweather ahead 116-112, while Dave Moretti scored it 118-110.
