Karina Haymore won two individual events and finished second in another to lead Centennial’s girls track team to its ninth consecutive Sunset Region title.

SUNSET BASEBALL: Bulldogs turn to Wright, beat Gorman in region final

Tanner Wright drove in four runs, and Centennial rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat visiting Bishop Gorman 8-4 for the Division I Sunset Region baseball title and a berth in the state tournament.

SUNRISE BASEBALL: Dornak’s gem lifts Basic to title

The Wolves used a balanced attack on offense, a handful of defensive gems and the arm of sophomore C.J. Dornak to post a 6-0 victory over visiting Green Valley to claim the Division I Sunrise Region championship. The win locked up a berth in the state tournament, which begins on Thursday at Bishop Manogue.
