Las Vegas police are investigating an officer-involved shooting Tuesday near downtown.
The couple found dead this weekend in Boulder City of an apparent murder-suicide has been identified.
The shooting happened about 2:20 p.m. on the 4100 block of Oakhill Avenue, near U.S. Highway 95 and East Harmon Avenue, the Metropolitan Police Department said.
An armed security guard was arrested after he shot and killed an unarmed man after a brief confrontation Thursday afternoon near the Strip, Las Vegas police said.
Vernon McClelland Jr., 29, was arrested Wednesday on the 700 block of Center Street in Henderson, police said Thursday. He faces multiple felony charges, including murder with a deadly weapon, and first-degree arson.

A man shot in the head during a dispute with his grandfather last week has died, according to the Clark County coroner’s office.
Police received an anonymous tip of a possible body about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday on the 1800 block of Ward Drive, near Boulder Highway and Sunset Road, police spokesman Rod Pena said. Officers found the body inside a recreational vehicle, Pena said.
