Coast Guard Auxiliary to offer free boat inspections

The Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer free boat inspections 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday at the Nevada Department of Wildlife.

Boat owners who bring their vessel or personal watercraft to the department, 4747 Vegas Drive, will receive a copy of the auxiliary’s inspection results. If the vessel passes, the owner will receive a safety decal, which could qualify them for insurance discounts.

A primary mission of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is to promote and encourage recreational boating safety and education.
