Climber records deadly Mt. Everest avalanche — VIDEO

A harrowing two-minute clip shows the moment an avalanche hit Everest Base Camp on Saturday after an enormous earthquake in Nepal that has killed at least 3,900 people.

“The ground is shaking,” you can hear the panicked voice of a German climber saying, before turning to expletives as the campers run for cover. The next thing seen is a mammoth wave of snow taking over the space around them.

Jost Kobusch caught on tape the avalanche that went on to kill at least 17 people and injure dozens more.

Hundreds of campers were still stranded at camps I and II on Mt. Everest on Monday, with rescue helicopters taking two people at a time, according to CNN.

Multiple climbing groups reported deaths over the weekend, and the exact number of dead on Everest remains unclear.
