The third Red Flag 15-3 exercise at Nellis Air Force Base this year is under way, running through July 31.
Maj. Joe Haggerty is the team chief for the 414th Combat Training Squadron at Nellis, which runs the air combat exercise over the Nevada Test and Training Range north of the base. He said more than 100 military aircraft from the Air Force, Navy and Marines from bases across the United States are participating as well as between 2,000 and 3,000 crewmembers and support personnel.
