Marine dies in boating accident at Lake Havasu

A Marine died when his personal water craft collided with a boat on Lake Havasu Friday afternoon, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s office.

Lance Cpl. Chad Brammer, 23, of Lambertville, Michigan was riding on the Arizona side of Copper Canyon at about 3 p.m. when he crossed the bow of a 31-foot Advantage boat, Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Trish Carter said. A witness pulled Brammer from the water, but he died at Havasu Regional Medical Center, she said. None of the six people aboard the boat was injured.

Brammer was stationed at the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps base in California, Carter said.
