JAZZ FAN EXPRESSES DISTASTE FOR MARRIOTT JAZZ FEST

Having been a jazz fan since I was 18, I was pleasantly surprised when it was announced the JW Marriott Las Vegas would host a jazz concert about two years ago (“Jazz festival to return to grounds of JW Marriott,” Sept. 4 Summerlin Area View). I was disappointed that it was and has been populated by a majority of R&B/hip-hop artists and particularly since no day would be dedicated to a single style. I will not be attending, nor will my friends. We will continue to attend Jazz In The Park, a real jazz venue.
